New holiday, new food board! . I never know what to do for my hubby at Valentine’s Day and this year we’ll be celebrating at home. This year is off to a good start for our family so far. Today I got the chance to see my boys snowboard something they’ve never done and caught on too pretty quickly! I love seeing them try something and keep at it until they get over the “I can’t do this” mentality. Some of our favorite moments take place around food. Tonight I got all dressed up with nowhere to go and enjoyed @freshcravingssalsa with my kiddos. We started the remodel of our master bedroom last year and have been slowly updating it to reflect our style. This new chandiler is our most recent update and I must say it's a huge improvement. This @lampsplus light replaced our dated 1950's recessed box light. The shape is unique and the gold accents really bring out the character of the room. I love changing up light fixtures because it's such an easy change it makes a big impression! Our next project is an accent wall behind the headboard. looks so good and I love the star shape. 2020 was the year of cozy days spent inside, quite possibly more days indoors than any other year of adult hood. I cherish the moments we had and our resilient spirit but I’m ready for more adventures and time outdoors. Did you take your Christmas tree down yet? . We took ours down yesterday and it always feels a little quiet afterwards. Happy Boxing Day! . We had a lovely Christmas at home and though it wasn’t the same as years past it was beautiful. Only two more sleeps until Christmas! . My favorite part of Christmas morning has always been watching the boys faces when they see what santa left them! In our house Santa leaves toys from him unwrapped. Christmas is about giving and we work with the boys to understand the true meaning of the holidays. Every year we pick someone in need and do a small act of kindness for them. Last year we made stockings for our mail carriers and they were so surprised it was cute to see. This year we partnered with @ToyotaUSA for the #seasonofgiving and expanded our efforts. Toyota linked us with a local charity to sponsor a family this holiday season! @BayAreaCrisisNursery is a community organization that provides important resources like shelter, food, childcare and more to families with young children. During the holidays there are a lot of families that struggle financially and have trouble providing presents for their kids. Luckily with Toyota and @BayAreaCrisisNursery's help we were able to make one family's Christmas a little more joyful. We adopted a local family and got to fulfill their Christmas wish list, the boys and I were matched with a mom and three little girls. We bought gifts for the whole family and as a boy mom, I had so much fun shopping for the girls! William helped me pick out a lot of the presents and we all went to the nursery to drop them off. He was excited to play elf and share the magic of Christmas with others. . After we dropped off the presents we treated the boys to hot chocolates at Starbucks and paid for the car behind us in line. . It feels so good to give back in big and small ways! Thank you @ToyotaUSA for giving me the opportunity to make folks days a little brighter.
