Why Your Vision Health Is Important

And you may be surprised to know that, sometimes, other diseases can cause blurry vision such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high blood sugar. According to a recent study from the Vision Council, approximately 68 per cent of millennials claim that they suffer from digital eye strain, also known as computer vision syndrome. I’ve asked Dr. Briar Sexton, a Canadian ophthalmologist and member of The Canadian Ophthalmological Society (COS), a few questions pertaining to vision health and trends. Generally, people are hesitant to see an optometrist because it’s not covered by provincial health insurance plans, but if they have a family history of eye disease, they can get a referral from their doctor to see an ophthalmologist.

First off, I don’t feel like I’m in my mid-30s (ugh just saying that hurts me LOL), I still feel like I’m 29. I’m in my mid-30s, and just feel like I’m becoming an adult. Yes, I will always have those friendships where we can meet up every so often and catch up and I appreciate those ones, but I’m also at the age where I’m busy with life and can only make time for good friends. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, with us getting our apartment ready to move, celebrating our anniversary (at the SPA! ) and work as per usual. My birthday is next week, I’m excited to celebrate with getting a pedicure and then enjoying a low key dinner with Curtis. Otherwise it’s been blogging events, blog campaigns, celeberating a friends bridal shower and dog sitting Oscar. I also went shopping for sheet masks with my beauty blogging friend Jayne, went home with not kidding 50 LOL.
