From wandering around the quaint grounds, strolling along Icicle Creek, discovering the art walk, enjoying some relaxing time in the pool or spa, playing volleyball or horseshoes, or using the resort as a hub to enjoy countless outdoor activities including hiking, mountain-biking, and river rafting.
More than just an incredible destination for wine and wine tours, this beautiful city boasts more than that, so instead of venturing out to explore the wineries around with the little time I had, I decided to stay within the city limits and explore what it had to offer. The Place de la Bourse symbolizes Bordeaux’s opening onto the River Garonne and the rest of the world. After breakfast we went straight to the Bordeaux Tourism Office to pick up our city passes: the best way to explore most of the Bordeaux attractions for free or reduced admission. A special thanks to Bordeaux Tourism for giving us all of the information necessary to have an incredible time in this beautiful vibrant city! !
Sometimes in Rome I would walk up to 20 miles/day and still feel as though I have barely scratched the surface of all there is to see and experience in this enchanting city. It’s definitely worth it to hear the history of this incredible place but once you’ve done that my favorite thing to do is just to go and admire the beauty of this ancient landmark that has held up so well against the test of time. There are so many other iconic places that are must see in Rome: the Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant’Angelo, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, Gardens, Terraces, Cathedrals, Catacombs, Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, The Vatican, the list goes on and on. *After the sun sets I recommend going back to the Pantheon and admiring the beauty of this area at night, the city really comes to life at night here!
When I woke up again I scrolled through IG, saw a post about Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland and decided at that moment I was going to change my itinerary and head to the Alps! By the time I arrived in Domodossola the sun had already set, however, the train journey in was nothing short of impressive. The Airbnb I chose by chance just happened to be a holistic center and if I didn’t feel calm enough already, I felt even more at ease the moment I started walking down the driveway. The sight I saw out of my window that morning was one of the most unexpectedly beautiful ones I have ever seen.
