Week 1: How to prepare for your REAL WHOLE food sugar detox Week 3
I have been fielding lots of questions about my life and family and thought it might be fun to do a monthly post on what is new in my life and business, so if you like these kinds of posts…..respond and let me know 🙂 Last weekend, it was an alumni lacrosse event at Johns Hopkins, so we packed up the car and spent the day in, truly, one of my favorite cities…filled with so many wonderful memories while I trained at the “Hop” as I affectionately refer to it. ..let me explain…since i left clinical medicine 2 years ago, I have not worked officially as an NP, and honestly, I feel that medicine is a calling of sorts…between that and the fact that i need to keep my clinical skills current This weekend, it was all about lacrosse and a 2-day swim meet….lacrosse is not nearly the time commitment that swimming is…as a kiddo or parent. My oldest had a birthday party last night so the three of us went out for Thai food that did not disappoint: Anyway, that’s a sneak peek into our lives….share with me what you have been up to 🙂
It is always an honor to be on my favorite local news channel, WJLA Good Morning Washington, and earlier this week was no exception. So, I apologized profusely and moved onto Plan B (namely, an iPad with fruits/veggies on display as opposed to the $50 worth of highly pigmented fruits/veggies I had in my home refrigerator! ). So, my display looked more like this: Just imagine what it would have looked like with a big basket of items I focused on nutrition, intermittent fasting, toxins in our environment/foods and personal care products and then self-care strategies.
This past weekend, I was in South Beach for a Mastermind retreat with my business coach and fellow entrepreneurial friends….you might be wondering (as my husband was)….why Well, I’m hoping this post will help inspire you to recognize that even those who lead need to be coached through business, mindset, nutrition, etc Here is the view from our room over the bay: Needless to say, the warm temps and beautiful views were instantly relaxing and badly needed, especially as Washington, DC was cold and rainy during our brief vacation away! The real purpose of the Mastermind was to work on our business goals, be inspired and work on mindset strategies…it was also to connect and support one another.
