It’ll just give you that creative and mechanical boost you need to take your flower arrangements (especially your grocery store flower arrangements) to the next level. That said, whether you want to know how to arrange grocery store flowers or you want to do something more advanced, like design your own floral wedding arch, I found that the show is helpful for both large and small-scale projects. Whether you just clump some up and put it in a vase or you use it to create something grander, like a floral chandelier or wedding arbor, chicken wire is a must-have mechanic for floral designers. What you’re actually supposed to do is completely submerge the hydrangea flower in a bucket of water and let it sit for five minutes.

For this year’s Easter dinner menu, I ordered the pre-made ham dinner for four, along with a The Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Plus, if you’re ordering regular groceries and are a Hy-Vee Plus member (note: this doesn’t apply to pre-made Easter meals, unfortunately), you get two-hour express pickup, and standard delivery is free for orders over $30. While I was picking up my ham dinner and cheesecake, I purchased a few different bouquets and flowers by-the-stem from Ham is our Easter dinner tradition, so I ordered the ham meal for four.

Plus, you can serve them on their own or use them to decorate the tops of other Easter desserts, like carrot cake or carrot “dirt cups. like me and want to clean up any hardened chocolate that’s pooled underneath the strawberries, use a sharp knife to cut away the excess. Once you’re ready to eat, place your chocolate-covered strawberry carrots on a plate and use the oregano to create vibrant carrot tops. You can also use them to embellish the tops of other fun Easter desserts, like carrot cake or “carrot patch” dirt cups.

I mixed this non-toxic pink acrylic paint with non-toxic white acrylic paint to create a softer pink. I wanted a really light shade, so I mixed 50% baby pink acrylic paint and 50% white acrylic paint to create this color. If you want to create a totally different color, go for it– just be sure that the paint you use is acrylic and non-toxic. I taped down the edges with Scotch tape (to make sure it didn’t move in the process) and then painted over the stencil with non-toxic white acrylic paint.
