I’m a chiropractor, birth advocate, wife, and boy mama to my sweet Luca. I love using my wisdom as a holistic doctor and my life experience as a working mama to support other women through their motherhood journey. When I’m not serving my patients, you can find me tending to my plant babies and enjoying the little things like: a great cup of coffee, a walk with my boys, or a good read.

Sometimes getting kids ready & out of the house is a mad dash & it’s easy to grab some coffee and go, but doing so on an empty stomach is a set up for a blood sugar crash leaving you struggling later in the day! Instead eat some protein first and drink a small glass of water. For me sometimes it’s a boiled egg and whole grain toast + butter if I didn’t meal prep. Simple! I love @drinklmnt electrolytes but a squeeze of lemon + quality salt like @redmondrealsalt does the trick. Keep in mind most people need 1/2-1G protein daily per lb of body weight and half our weight in oz as a general rule. That changes based on activity and if you’re pregnant/BF. It’s very common people struggle with fatigue even with quality sleep if this link is missing. If you’re doing that and still get tired through the day it could be something deeper, more on that later so I dont ramble! Let’s help each other, drop your fave high protein quick breakfast ideas! 🍳 #drlaurencollins #holistichealth #holisticdoctors #healthybloodsugar #momlife #tipsformoms

Just had to post this shot of my beautiful boy on my feed 🥹 Grateful my friend @kiarawreed shared this sweet candid from her littles ones birthday celebration! 🤍 It’s been a challenging week in mothering and I’ve been in my feelings about my first born, don’t mind me lol! 🤧🥲 #boymama #proudmommy #momlife #honestmotherhood

An easy and inexpensive way to soothe irritated skin! I love using this to calm dryness, itchiness or redness caused by bug bites, allergies, eczema or calming viral rashes. I shared in my last post my kids got sick which included a viral rash that was causing my son some discomfort. We’ve been doing this at bed time in addition to keeping him moisturized and using a small amount of @planttherapy lavender and itch away and it’s been a huge relief while he heals. 🤍 I used my nutribullet to blend organic rolled oats to flour consistency and put them into cotton muslin bags. I used 2 bags for a total of roughly 1/4C. and let the kids soak in the bath for 15-20 min. 🤍 You can also use a tied off panty hose and give the wet bags a little squeeze to make the bath a milky consistency. 🤍 Be mindful not to make the bath too warm, and of course consult your doctor about any allergies, open sores/wounds and any chronic redness or rashes. Not medical advice, sharing my own experiences as a mom. 😌 Holistic health tips, baby skincare, eczema care, home remedies #drlaurencollins #naturalremedies #holisticmama #homeremedies #motherhoodtips

Well St Croix was a vibe ✨🌀 grateful to @loveherretreats for curating an amazing experience I could just show up and enjoy. I’ll definitely share some reflections and downloads from this time of rest, how should I share?

So far I’d describe the vibe of St. Croix like an easy, perfect Sunday morning but on repeat. The island exudes peace and inspiration, the perfect setting for much needed rest. Also loving the design here! Can’t wait to share more, soaking up the moment 🐚🍵🌴

My practice @aboundchiro is basically like my first baby and has inspired so many of the other things I do like doula work, my podcast, the membership community. Right now I’m in a transition season with building a stronger team foundation so the practice can thrive for years to come. Everything I share comes from the thousands of adjustments, interactions, dozens of births, hundreds of women and families I’ve supported over the years and I don’t say that to brag but to demonstrate the beauty of PRACTICE vs theory in a world where there’s a lot of noise and “experts” (no shade but let’s be for real 🫢) I’m itching to bring more of that to my community here, but I keep getting pulled back to my baby, and my biz coach today reminded me there’s no rush! I’m building the foundation and in due time my bigger vision will all come together & I’m bringing yall with me! ✨ #drlaurencollins #prenatalchiropractor #nervoussystemhealing #chiropracticadjustment #holisticdoctors #birthdoula #workingmoms

Every birthday I get all introspective about the different seasons we’ve been through. 🥲 I feel like this time has taken a little longer to get back to “me” for various reasons, which made me think about the PP changes we go through that fly under the radar from the outside looking in and/or times we may feel “behind” in our process because of the wild post birth expectations society can place. Things I wish everyone knew about postpartum: There is not “set” recovery timeline (like 6 weeks). everyone’s journey is different based on so many factors including physical healing, mental emotional, if breastfeeding, etc. 6 weeks is veryyy early in recovery and not many people are ready “get back to it” which is VERY normal. A lot of challenges are not visible ie sleep, scheduling, PPD/A, pelvic floor healing. Just because someone looks good on the outside you have no idea how they’re healing, so not only should we give grace but not compare because everyone has unique challenges they’re navigating. Just because moms are handling it well doesn’t mean they don’t need help. That’s a message for mama’s and villages alike! Just because she’s wearing the crown well doesn’t mean it’s not heavy or whatever they say! It takes 12-18 months to return to pre-pregnancy state. Even if your physical recovery is going well, there are still so many hormone changes along the way and nutrients are being repleted from 9mos of growing a human and giving birth to said human (or humans moms of multiples!) What do you wish more people understood about PP? #postpartumjourney #thisispostpartum #newmom #momlife #honestmotherhood #drlaurencollins

My Selah turns TWO today! Where does the time go?! She’s a spicy one and the best little cuddle bug at the same time, always ready to share hugs and kisses with the people she loves. I love watching her grow and seeing her personality shine through. What a joy it is to be her mommy!

❣️ day no. 14 in the books!

February is my baby girls birth month 🤍 I’ll be reminiscing all month long! Still in love with these maternity photos @photography_by_ale took & I need to hit her line to get a milestone shoot going ASAP! A few things I feel like they say about your second that are true: 1) it seems to go by faster! 2) you’re a little less nervous about *everything* so you’re even more confident and can really enjoy the little moments 3) you have a better sense of postpartum and that it’s a journey, which comes in handy those tough moments you need grace or another mama needs help. I recorded a podcast episode on how to be the “village” in postpartum, some practical tips for everyone not just the mamas but the friends/neighbors/aunties/etc. Unfortunately my audio was janky so I have to re-record but as soon as it’s fixed my insiders are getting the link first! Comment LIST if you’re not on my email list yet because this is def an episode worth sharing! #newmom #postpartumjourney #thisispostpartum #maternityshoot #munamommy #postpartumisforever #healthypregnancy #pregnancytips
