Love Beauty and Planet is a new personal care brand by Unilever, and is more than just about nice-smelling products. One important question I asked the people from Love Beauty and Planet was this – “If you care so much for the planet, are the contents of the products biodegradable? It makes it easier and more accessible for people who Love Beauty and Planet to well, care for the planet! I feel that to drive this message home better, Love Beauty and Planet should go one step further to offer product refills, so packaging is reused, or to have collection bins for their empty bottles, which they can then return to recycle to make future bottles.

The Pink Champagne Glow PixiGlow Cake on the other hand, is very pretty, and to my mind, will suit most skin tones quite nicely. The distinction between the highlight and blush colour in the Pink Champagne Glow palette is more blurred, with a more pink tone. Pink Champagne Glow on my skin looks like a warmed pink glow that is quite refreshing. The Pixi PixiGlow Cake is a very large pan of gradient blush, highlight and bronzing powder, that is sheer in texture, but pigmented in colour.

As these brushes also make good travel brushes, I will also show you a few other small/mini brushes that I use for travel purposes, or that are portable. I’d told myself that I had enough makeup brushes (I do! ), considering I don’t use very much makeup these days, and I’m not a makeup artist (I’m not! ). If you don’t do your makeup on the go, don’t do your makeup when you travel, or only use makeup brushes at home, you’re better off buying a regular makeup brush with a handle. But that isn’t to say that I haven’t been experimenting, and while I love my high-end natural squirrel hair makeup brushes, I also do not like bringing those along when I travel.

I also realised that I’d never shared my absolute favourite Jo Malone scent with you, so naturally, I had to rectify that 😀 Jo Malone 154 Cologne – One for the boys Because of the stronger notes found in the middle and base notes of 154 Cologne, it is also a scent that lasts longer than most Jo Malone colognes. I also like using 154 Cologne to ground sweeter, more floral Jo Malone scents, like Honeysuckle & Davana, or to bring out the more woody notes of a scent like English Oak & Red Currant. Every time I step into the Jo Malone store, and say that 154 is my favourite scent, the eyebrows go up, the head cocks to one side, and a knowing but rather confused light reaches the eyes of the store assistants.
