Some people will probably say I don't get to feel this way when I have the things I do and there are others who are suffering more and are now in even worse situations than I am in - and believe me I KNOW. When you finally find the courage to tell other people you're "depressed" or have "anxiety issues", people will say you're being overly dramatic, or that you're making things worse by "sulking", or that we're just plain lazy when we find ourselves not wanting to do anything. The things you have is often overlooked and taken for granted but when you feel like your worries are once again sucking you into this blackhole of depression, then start slowly to think of all the things and people you have the luck to have. We people with anxiety almost always think how the rest of the world will perceive us - and it's not wrong to look out for what you do, but what is wrong is that you made your life a manual of all things acceptable for other people.
She's grown up in the spotlight, both idolized and despised for her family's fire-and-brimstone brand of faith. When Essie's mother, Celia, discovers that Essie is pregnant, she arranges an emergency meeting with the show's producers: Do they sneak Essie out of the country for an abortion? As it starts with Essie eavesdropping her mother's decision about what to do with her unexpected pregnancy and how it is feared to ruin their "pure" reputation as a Pastor's brood, you will immediately see that there's more grim background to it with the way the characters are reacting- especially Essie. Another interesting note is that the book is surprisingly told in multiple POVs: Essie's, Liberty's and Roarke's.
I could make a long sh*tty excuse about my inactivity here if I want to, but to be honest, I have none right now. I just really procrastinated, I lost my streak of regularly blogging and somehow lost my flare in writing along the way. Now let's be a little literal here and add the word "creative" to it and that is exactly what you get in creative journaling.
