A Wanderer's Adventures

I know in my last post I said I wouldn’t stop blogging, and then… I just disappeared off the face of the Earth (not literally, don’t worry). I don’t know why, but ever since I’ve been back from England, I just haven’t been having any fun when it comes to blogging. I don’t know if I want to keep on blogging at all. I don’t know if it’s because I see all of my favorite bloggers, YouTubers, and Instagrammers traveling the world while I’m stuck at home studying and trying to complete my degree or if I just miss Europe, but I’ve been wanting to hop on the next plane to Europe SO BAD lately!

#RealTalk: Being authentic online isn’t as easy as it looks

I don’t like being disliked, and knowing that I’ve done something wrong makes me sick to my stomach. And not because I’ve been outright lying about who I am, but I think I’ve been omitting things and avoiding talking about some stuff simply because I didn’t want to stand out. I pretend to be someone that I am not more often than I would like to admit, simply because I don’t want to be seen as weird or out of place. I know that’s not something I can even think about yet because I’ve never made a single dollar from my blog as of now, but I know that I might want to turn my blog into a full-time job at some point in my life.

Interview Mistakes You’re Making (+ How to Fix Them)

Not only is it a potential accident-maker (you wouldn’t want to spill whatever you’re drinking all over yourself or the table where the interview is conducted! ), but it can also be distracting for both you and the interviewer. We had people who didn’t really seem to know who they were applying for, and that shows that you aren’t really interested. Sometimes the interviewer will cover that kind of information during the interview, so don’t make them repeat that if you don’t have any other questions! Obviously, I am no pro and one experience as the interviewer doesn’t mean that I am a pro, but after being interviewed 16 times last year and getting two internship proposals in one day this fall, I think I am starting to get the hang of this whole job interview thing.

A Wanderer's Adventures

I’m considering spacing out these life updates because I feel like I might not have enough content to write one every month So that’s what I’ve been doing every day from Monday to Friday for the past 4 weeks. You don’t know what life might throw at you, and before you know, you’re tied down to a cubicle working 40 hours a week with 3 kids. It was for Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson, and I feel like it kinda captures the essence of the book.
