It's the perfect long weekend escape, and I've created an Instagram photo guide that will take you some of the most scenic spots in and around the city including bridge viewpoints, botanical gardens, redwood cathedrals, Dutch windmills, Italian alleyways, mosaic staircases and more. The Palace of Fine Arts is a popular spots for tourists, locals and wedding photographers, so best to arrive early if you plan to take photos. There are several Golden Gate Bridge viewpoints scattered throughout the city, but one of the prettiest is the Golden Gate Overlook. Located in the heart of North Beach, the charming side street looks straight out of 1950s Rome.
We spent 10 days road-tripping down the country's piercing Adriatic coast with stops in Herceg Novi, Perast, Kotor, Rose, Budva, Sveti Stefan and Stari Bar. BUDVA & SVETI STEFAN Located just south of Sveti Stefan, Galija Beach is one of my favorite little escapes in this part of Montenegro. Morning swim below the medieval walls of Aman Sveti Stefan. It sits a couple miles up the road from Old Town Budva, but the Dukley Hotel & Resort feels a world away from the bustle of the city.
La Vita e Bella sits in the heart of Old Town, a short walk from the Stradun and other Old Town sights. There is not shortage of food options within the city walls of Old Town, outdoor dining spills onto the plazas, alleys and streets of Dubrovnik. This two-star Michelin restaurant sits outside the city walls near Pile Gate with sweeping views of Bokar-Festung and the Lovrijenac Fortress. Dubrovnik is a pedestrian friendly city with most sights located within the Old Town city walls, or just outside.
Yes, the Duomo and Piazza del Campo should be a part of your Siena plans, but it'll be way more fun trying to find them without a map A 13th century basilica often overshadowed by the city's Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta), the Church of San Domenico sits at the northwest edge of the city. Siena is an iconic black and white cathedral that sits on the Piazza del Duomo, the highest point in medieval Siena. A 14th century medieval tower that sits on the Piazza del Campo.
