WHY BREAD IS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, THE BEST

Bread is low in both fat and sugar, with exceptions such as cheesy bread (high in fat) and really heavily processed white bread, which lack of fibre means it’s broken down quickly by the body and turned into sugar. The rapid increase in these conditions (gluten intolerance is an, er, intolerance and coeliac disease being an actual allergy) has done nothing for bread’s street cred. If anyone reading this is coeliac or similar, the Warburton’s gluten free wholemeal cob ain’t half bad (my boyfriend’s gluten intolerant, and likes this one the bet). I think I’ve been pretty clear about my favourite sliced bread (as long as it’s thick cut), but my favourite bread ever is a round white cob from Sainsbury’s that is scored really deeply on the top so it looks really lumpy.

TOP 10 MOST HELPFUL & RELATABLE VEGANS ON YOUTUBE

YouTube is an embarrassingly large part of life and I usually have a video playing while I’m cooking, eating, or similar. I also find vegan Youtube (or the vegan Youtube I choose to watch) a kind and helpful place, where recipes are shared, nutrition tips are doled out, and no one feeds the trolls

(VEGAN) WHAT I EAT IN A DAY

If I’m going dog-walking on a Sunday, I usually just have coffee (and then a Gregg’s sausage roll or two after, as a snack). I’m a fan of salad (usually just onion, pepper, tomato, cucumber and something leafy) with mayo (Hellmanns) and hot sauce (Nando’s) but you could broccoli and carrots with gravy if you were so inclined. If I’m doing a long day at work, I tend to take a salad with me for tea, since my lunches at work are usually v carby. It won’t let me change the colour of the headings without a plugin (I’m assuming this is an oversight that’ll be resolved quickly) and my no-follow plugin doesn’t work.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS

Besides, there are rumours that Aunt Bessie is taking vegan Yorkshire’s to task, and she’s far better equipped for it than me. On my first attempt (with my freshly bought Yorkshire pudding tin) I don’t think the oven or fat was hot enough, so the fat is heating as we speak for round 2. They also didn’t rise as much as non-vegan yorkshire’s The batter looks the most like Yorkshire pudding batter BUT it does say that you shouldn’t use shallow yorkshire pudding tins or the recipe won’t work.
