Turning Hurt into Hope. The CACRC provides a safe, neutral environment and team approach for the investigation of alleged child abuse in Rockingham County.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have to CANCEL our 8th annual Strike Out Child Abuse Bowl-a-thon at Striker’s East in Raymond! Since 2013, the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County has hosted an annual Strike Out Child Abuse Bowl-A-Thon where members from our multi-disciplinary team come together for a fun night of bowling, pizza, and prizes while supporting our mission of helping victims of child abuse. We understand that you, like ourselves, look forward to bowling and competing for Best Score, Most Funds Raised, and Best Bowling Outfit, however it has become paramount that we conduct our fundraising events in a manner that is safe. All lane sponsors will still receive a sign for our 2021 event and teams that have already paid will be credited for 2021 as well.
The 2019 Seacoast Half Marathon raised $90,000 to be split between the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County and HAVEN. We were there from the shot of the starter’s pistol until the last two walkers crossed that finish line and we want you all to know how much we appreciate your dedication and support …THANK YOU! The Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County and HAVEN, the largest domestic violence and sexual violence support and prevention agency in NH, work together to support those impacted by abuse and domestic violence. Both nonprofits work to ensure that every child and family have a victim centered experience in a safe and responsive place to move beyond their trauma to Heal, Survive and Thrive!
Rockingham County Law Enforcement went above and beyond, raising a grand total of $63,000! Officer Nick Drew of Newmarket PD raised the most funds as an individual – $6,750; and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department raised the most funds as a department – $15,000! And for those of you who missed it in 2019: Beards for Bucks is a fundraiser that was created in 2015 by the Manchester Police Department in Hillsborough County and has since expanded to include police departments in most counties in New Hampshire. Beards for Bucks is a simple idea that makes a big difference for CACs in New Hampshire.
