Your Practice Should Make Every year around this time people think about New Year’s Resolutions. The ability to create ads, pinpoint targets and evolve the campaign as results come in is what makes PPC ads a valuable tool in your practice’s marketing toolbox. Assuming you have updated your website for a user-friendly experience, your practice should be able to capture visitor information and help you convert them into patients. A quality internet marketing firm can tailor a marketing strategy to your dental practice’s expectations.
If you’re like me and use social media pretty regularly, you may think you have a good handle on what social media can do and how it works. Then I got to thinking: If I’m surprised about what’s going on with social media, I imagine some of our doctors may not be aware of what’s happening in social media either. I set up an interview with our resident social media expert, Stuart Hardy, to discuss what social media really means and how doctors can take advantage of the surprising trends we’re seeing. So while doctors and doctors are obviously on social media for business reasons, it’s a mistake to treat social media like it’s a business atmosphere.
Consider an interesting fact about Buzzfeed, the “click bait” king of online content: It draws a healthy 200 million unique visitors to its site every month. When the world’s biggest online content websites are more than happy to meet their viewers where they already are (on social media) it means everyone with an online presence should consider following suit, and start focusing on social media as well. Facebook, and to a lesser extent Twitter and Pinterest, account for the lion’s share of our truly valuable attention and time spent online. And it’s a trend that’s on the upward slope: more people are interacting with businesses via social media than ever, and it’s projected to continue in that vein.
Posting regular content about your practice, dentistry in general, and what’s going on in your life raises your profile and keeps your Facebook page relevant for the people who “like” and “follow” your page. If you have a specific post that you want more people to see and interact with, you can “boost” it by clicking the “boost post” button at the bottom-right of the post. When people “like” and “follow” you, your posts will show up in their feeds more frequently – which means more people will see your posts. There’s a whole world of guides and ideas on how to ask people to like your page and posts, and Facebook posted a pretty good list of 50 different tips to get more likes.
