To discover the five new tea flavours of Pukka Wellness, we were invited to join a workshop at Super Farmers to learn more about herbs and spices, and the benefits they can have for you. Hosted by Cynthea from Super Farmers and the Pukka team, we learn about the many great benefits of the multiple plants that can be grown easily in our gardens. From learning that manuka honey is anti-inflammatory, like turmeric, ginger and galangal (a type of ginger), to cloves being anti-bacterial, like cinnamon, star anise and cardamon, we then make our way to Cynthea’s garden to harvest some leaves to make our own tea. On my list, I choose an Indian borage leaf, pandan, lemongrass, 2 lime leaves, Thai basil, cologne mint (which really smells like cologne, hence the name!), dried lime zest and dried orange zest!

Roxy’s boilermaker menu features curated shots that combine spirits with aromatic bitters, fortified wines or flavourful liqueurs to ensure they are perfect pair alongside rotational menu of Brown Ale, IPA or Stout. Accompanied with your drinks, find a bar bites menu with simplistic variations on iconic New York foods like the Bagel Popcorn, popcorn tossed in the spices of an everything bagel and Pastrami Sandwich Bites inspired by the famous Katz Deli in NYC, which by the way, is an absolute MUST if you ever travel to The Big Apple.

A Dubai-kid at heart, I highly enjoy anything location at the Jumeriah area, let along a beautiful hotel with flawless decor. As I set foot inside of Tasca, I was taken aback by the immense blue where the sky met the sea and immediately asked for an outdoor table. What I love about tapas style restaurants is that you get to enjoy lots of different dishes in small amounts, by the time we got to our main course, we were so pumped with starters that we opted to share. This Jose Avillez classic includes several forms of hazelnut in one incredible little dish: ice cream, foam and freshly grated hazelnut.
