The Cultureur - Modern Global Citizen

If you’re an intellectual property lawyer who focuses on trademarks and brand protection, chances are that you’ll be heading to Boston, Massachusetts from May 17-23, 2019 for the annual International Trademark Association (INTA) Conference. While much of your time will be spent in meetings, events, and hosted dinners, you may still want to stroll through the city and discover all the classic charm of the thriving New England capital. Whether you’re looking for dinner spots, historical hotspots, late-night bars, or cozy cafes for small one-on-one and group meetings, here are some suggestions, broken down by neighborhoods. ’s Little Italy neighborhood or delicious oysters and lobster rolls (or seafood in general) along the waterfront.

Women in Luxury: Michelle Woodley, President of Preferred Hotels

Prior to joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts, she held various positions for Swissotel and Raffles Hotels & Resorts in the various operations, revenue management, distribution, and marketing disciplines. If you’re not familiar with the brand, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is the world’s largest independent hotel brand, representing more than 700 distinctive hotels, resorts, residences, and unique hotel groups across 85 countries, with 35 worldwide offices and 300 associates. Similarly, luxury travel is a personal perspective and, to me, includes an experience that meets and exceeds one’s expectations and provides pleasure and enrichment, regardless of one’s purpose of travel. Preferred Residences is the ideal solution for extended stay travelers, families, and guests who simply want more room to spread out during their travels because it provides the best of both worlds: the space, privacy, and local flavor of a residence with the 24/7 security, amenities, service, and quality assurance of a luxury hotel stay.

An Inside Look at Buick Design with Senior Exterior Program Designer, Colin Phipps

For the past 6 months, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Colin and discussing all aspects of automotive design–a topic I previously knew very little about. After touring the luxurious Buick Design Center and other General Motors facilities in the greater Detroit area, I wanted to share more about the fascinating process of automotive design and all that it entails. He worked for Buick previously and now exclusively designs for Cadillac as a Senior Exterior Program Designer, expanding on an already impressive global portfolio that reveals his expertise in strategic design, concept development, advanced design, and exterior design. I enjoy the entire vehicle development process from sketch to public debut, but coming from a fine art background, I especially savor the moments before I begin to sketch when the concept is still just an idea in my head.
