There are so many trails in New York’s Finger Lakes region, and it will take us a lifetime to explore them all. Not that I’m complaining! We just got back from an anniversary trip to @visitithaca and we explored a few of our favorite trails as well as a few that we’d never heard of. Cascadilla Gorge is a favorite because it’s located right in downtown Ithaca. It’s an urban hike with all the beauty of a remote wilderness. The beautiful pathway of stone trails and staircases along the beginning of the trail was constructed in the late-1920s and takes visitors through a gorge made of ancient bedrock and past six waterfalls. Beyond that, there are several footbridges and more waterfalls as you make your way up to @cornelluniversity After hiking through the gorge, we walked into town for dinner and drinks. It was the perfect anniversary date 💕 #ithacany #ithacaisgorges #iloveny #fingerlakes #fingerlakesregion #newyork
We’ve got a teenager in the house! Happy 13th Birthday, Flynnie! He’s definitely slowing down, but he still enjoys walks with his people, snuggles with his best girl, Malinda, and all the food. It has been such a gift to spend so many years with this guy, even after his full career as a guide dog. Thanks for making every day special, Flynn! #geb #retiredguidedog #labradorlove #guidingeyes
Throwback to one of our favorite fall getaways — The Eastern Townships in Quebec. The cute-as-a-button mountain villages, vineyards for miles, and thrilling outdoor adventures will draw you in, and the culture, friendly people, and delicious food will keep you from ever wanting to leave. * Just 40 minutes from the city of Montreal and right over the Vermont border, these eclectic rural villages are surrounded by farmland, forests, and mountains, with a wealth of opportunities to get outside and explore, especially in the fall! #easterntownships #quebec #canada #fallfoliage #fallroadtrip

Many of Vermont’s rivers are cold and swift - perfect for cooling off on sweltering summer days. For soothing cranky kids. Rewarding good dogs. Playing hooky from life’s hard truths. A sunny day at the river in Vermont is the perfect reset button ✨ #vermont #vt #rivertime #thisivermont #ilovevermont #getoutside #newengland #coveredbridge
We've seen so many fantastic sunsets and made so many great camping memories at Button Bay State Park on Lake Champlain in Vermont. We love the lean-tos, the dog-friendly beach, and the far-reaching mountain views. It's not summer without a visit to Button Bay in @vtstateparks . #vermont #vtstateparks #buttonbay #buttonbaystatepark #ilovevermont #lakechamplain
Sabbaday Falls is just off the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains National Forest. It’s an easy walk to the falls - .7 miles, round trip, but get there early as this is a popular spot, and one of the loveliest waterfalls in the state. #newhampshire #whitemountains #whitemountainsnationalforest #sabbadayfalls #nh #kancamagushighway #newhampshirewaterfalls
I haven’t had many grilled cheeses in New Hampshire, but I’m taking them seriously when @eatcheeselouise claims to have the best in the state. I stopped at their roadside grilled cheese shack in Conway, NH after a full day of hiking on the Kancamagus Highway, and it was like a little mirage on the side of the road. I ordered the Godmother - tomatoes, pesto, and fresh mozzarella with a balsamic glaze on sourdough — served with homemade potato chips. All I have to say is that every mountain town needs a Cheese Louise. That is all. #cheeselouise #nh #whitemountains #kancamagushighway #newhampshire #newhampshirelife #newhampshireoutdoors #conwaynh
Best travel partner ever ✨ . Do you travel with your dog(s)? What do you love about it and what don’t you like? . Malinda is a fantastic companion. My only issue is when I have to pee or run an errand and leave her in the car. When I’m solo, I take bathroom breaks in parks or natural areas where she is usually welcome. Sometimes I will park in the shade and leave the windows all the way open. And I’m super quick! #travelwithdogs #hikingwithdogs #labsofinstagram #cathedralledge #northconwaynh #getoutside #whoseagoodgirl
Because Minnewaska is only open for day use, we recommend pitching your tent at Robibero Winery in New Palz for the weekend. Let’s explore Minnewaska State Park Preserve and Robibero Winery, both within an hour and a half of New York City! After enjoying Awosting Falls, head back the way you came and hop on the Sunset Carriage Road, and hike another .8 miles to Lake Minnewaska. From the Lake Minnewaska carriage road, you can take either Upper Awosting or the Castle Point carriage Road and hike further up for some really amazing views of the surrounding mountains.

By February, winter’s clutches are slowly loosening their grip on Arches National Park, and you will find relatively mild, pleasant days, very few people, and tiny wildflowers making a glorious appearance across the canyon. : Beat the National Park Crowds in these Incredible National Forests Paddle Through the Mangroves in Everglades National Park Winter is considered the dry season in Everglades National Park, and it’s a secluded paradise for birders and lovers of wildlife.
