A few days behind, but here’s what I’ve been loving in March… If you follow me on insta But perhaps the best part is they’re great for cycling legs – they never feel too tight even on days when my legs feel like tree trunks. When you live in Minnesota where it’s 30F or colder six months out of the year, you eventually learn there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara
And I just booked a few infrared sauna sessions at Awaken for Wellness. Ours includes removing the last of the wallpaper (just one more closet! ), painting said closet, finally hanging our gallery wall frames, getting started on painting the living room, and possibly KonMari-ing our closet and all the boxes of books. There’s nothing cozier on a cold winter night than a roaring fire, a glass of kombucha or mint tea (or wine if you prefer), a good book or movie, and puppy snuggles. This book is similar to Eat Pray Love except Jagger’s yearlong adventure is skiing 4 million vertical feet. Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World’s Fittest Men, and Discovering Myself by Rich Roll I’ve long been a fan of Rich Roll’s podcast, so after Nick finished this book, I picked it up.
We’ve spent countless hours removing wallpaper (two layers in every single room), painting (and repainting – sorry, Nick! ), scheming future reno plans (like adding a master bath) and cleaning up the neglected yard (landscaping to come in 2019). I know that it’s the new 30, but it still seems old and like there’s not enough time to do everything I wanna do. Like go back to school for a career change, have kids, continue training and racing at a high level, house projects, spending as much time with family and friends. As with hosting anything, it lit a fire to finish a bunch of projects – like repainting our office and hallway, and finally getting around to painting all the trim and doors (what a difference fresh white paint made! ).
