It’s that time of the month again and time for the latest instalment of my It April was another month when looking at my diary, there’s hardly a blank or completely “boring day (Although this might be down to me trying to be more thankful and even noting down little things such as a particularly nice soak in the bath! ). * Buying myself a new foundation to try, here’s hoping it works a little better for me… * .
We went for two hours, and as such were given a map highlighting a route that took us around Little Venice and into the Cumberland Basin and pointed out various things to look out for. The reason for this being the thing I remember about taking the boat to London Zoo was the eerie feeling with how pitched black this tunnel was. We took the lull between these and the Blow-Up Bridge as an excuse to take some photos like the one above before our boat was to pass London Zoo. The two of us were given a complimentary two-hour trip which would normally, this would have cost £109, or £54.50 each on a Sunday if we had all eight possible people on board it would have been a really reasonable £13.62 each for the trip.
So before I go full negative nancy, let’s turn it around and look at five happy things from April (And, these things are normally not so kind on my bank account, let’s be honest here! ) My Not So Newly Local Area With being in my current place for over six months, at some point, I really need to stop referring to it as my “new local area”. And, my mum isn’t great with bridges in general, so I’m not entirely sure why we thought this would be a great idea.
With this in mind, when I received an invite from City Spice, one of the best known Indian restaurants on Brick Lane, to check out their entirely vegan menu, I was thrilled. City Spice is located at 138 Brick Lane, which is on the corner of Brick Lane and Woodseer Street. We asked for the vegan menu and, much to my surprise, rather than the normal, small section on a menu, we were given an entire menu dedicated to dishes not containing meat, fish or dairy. City Spice’s Vegan menu offers a choice of three, and we opted for one of them to share.
