Stopped in at @wowwowlemonadescottsdale in Scottsdale, AZ for brunch and it was so refreshing 🍋 Everything at @wowwowlemonadescottsdale is dairy free and 90% is gluten free! The only item that contains gluten in the store is the bread for the toast options. She is not dedicated gluten free but does her best to avoid cc by using clean utensils and equipment. @saltandstraw OPENS TODAY‼️ @saltandstraw a super cute ice cream shop opened a ✨brand new✨ location in Gilbert, Arizona. They have tons of gluten free flavors and went above and beyond for my gluten free allergen order. When I let them I know I had celiac they grabbed brand new pints from the freezer up front and cleaned an ice cream scoop for me. I tried 1 scoop of each: 🧂 Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons 🍌 @gonanas Banana Bread w/ Strawberry Jam If you are curious about the gluten free flavors you can ask the staff or look at the gluten free options online. Tried @zookzsandwiches in Phoenix, AZ for the first time today and if you crave a good sandwich this place does not disappoint! 🥪✨ All of the sandwiches can be made gluten free and all of the sides are also gluten free. I tried: 🥗 Kale Salad 🥔 Potato Salad 🫘 Garbanzo Bean Salad 🍳 No. 22 - 2 poached eggs, bacon, ham, cheddar cheese, black beans, avocado, zookz chipotle sauce 🍏 No. 10 - Thinly sliced turkey, parmesan cheese, crunchy apples, tangy cranberries, roasted almonds, Zookz sweet heat mustard sauce 🥓 No. 20 - turkey, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, zookz sweet heat mustard sauce 🍔 No. 45 (Zookz Burger) - ground beef, cheddar, tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, shredded lettuce with Zookz bang bang sauce The gluten free bread is from @glutenfreecreationsbakerycafe and it’s also dairy free. It does contain eggs. ⚠️ As a heads up all sandwiches are toasted in the same panini press. They cannot lay down foil or parchment paper. When they are not busy they try to keep 1 of the 2 panini presses dedicated gluten free, but if they are busy it’s not dedicated. Walmart just launched their own gluten free products‼️ Walmart recently started their own brand ‘bettergoods’ and they are now offering lots of gluten free products (many of them are dairy free too)! New Products: 🍕 Frozen Gluten Free Cauliflower Crust Pizzas 🍗 Gluten Free Chicken Tenders (also dairy + egg free) 🍗 Gluten Chicken Nuggets (also dairy + egg free) 🍁 Chicken & Maple Breakfast Sausage Links + Patties (dairy free) 🍏 Chicken & Apple Breakfast Sausage Links (dairy free) 🫐 Smoothie Fruit Blends (dairy free) 🍪 Gluten Free Coconut Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites (dairy free+ egg free) ⚠️ They also launched Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites and Sea Salt Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie bites but both contain oats. If you have celiac I would recommend avoiding these 2 new cookie products. GLUTEN FREE + VEGAN BLACKBERRY RASPBERRY POP TART from @toosweet_cakes in Gilbert, AZ 😋 @toosweet_cakes is a cute little coffee shop + bakery located inside an apartment complex. It is not a dedicated gluten free bakery but they do take precautions and have tons of gluten free options. Everything is sanitized and mixed in cleaned equipment. The bakery case is shared but all items are on individual plates. They used clean gloves to grab my gluten free baked goods. I tried: Gluten Free + Vegan Blackberry Raspberry Toaster Pastry Gluten Free + Vegan Churro Cookie Sandwich Gluten Free + Vegan Raspberry Muffin ❌ The gluten free donuts are NOT safe for those with celiac. They are fried in a shared fryer with the regular donuts. I branched out a bit and finally tried gluten free Indian food 😋 I recently had the chance to check out @tikkashackphoenix in Gilbert, AZ. They have a separate gluten free menu with lots of different options. I ordered: 🥭 Mango Lassi 🥘 Chicken Tikka Masala 🧀 Paneer Butter Masala 🍗 Spicy Chicken Kabobs You can see when I first started ordering I got the initial CYA answer of “the food may contain gluten because it’s made in a shared kitchen” but once I asked more questions and spoke with the manager she was able to clear up the protocols for me. This is just a reminder that sometimes not all the employees know the allergen protocols but don’t let that discourage you. Everything on the menu is gluten free EXCEPT the regular burger buns. Finally tried the AVOIDING GLUTEN DOG at the @dbacks game 🌭⚾️ I ordered the avoiding gluten dog via the QR code for in-seat service for the lower level behind home plate. You can also find it in sections 139 and 207. ✅ The bun comes cold so you don’t need to worry about it being contaminated by gluten containing buns on the grill. ✅ The avoiding gluten dog comes wrapped in foil so you don’t have to worry about it touching any of the other items you order via in-seat service. I spent 24 hours at @civanaresort (one of the top spas in the country) and the gluten free options were a 10/10 🧖🏼‍♀️😋✨ The spa is located in Carefree, AZ and has 2 different restaurants on site. Terras is more of a sit down option with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Seed is a little cafe/market with baked goods, coffee, and smoothies. You can also order items poolside! I ordered: 🥞 GF + Vegan Matcha Pancakes 🥪 GF Breakfast Sandwich 🍊 GF + Vegan Orange Crush Smoothie ☀️ GF + Vegan Rise & Shine Smoothie 🍩 GF + Vegan Black Lava Chocolate Donut 🌮 GF Salmon Tacos 🐟 GF + DF Poke Bowl The resort is able to accommodate all sorts of allergens including gluten, dairy, and nuts.
