From dark and outdated, to bright and modern, this dream kitchen includes double islands, white quartz countertops, matte black fixtures and hardware, and a gorgeous black and white marble backsplash. Here is also a great before and after of the kitchen desk area… Open to the kitchen is the spacious, light and bright family room. These gorgeous wood vanities from Restoration Hardware give the master bathroom an elevated look and add a touch warm wood to the black and white color palette. The master bathroom is filled with natural light and is so spacious and functional with separate “his” and “hers” vanities and a gorgeous freestanding tub in the center.

I would love to promise you that this will change and we will get back to blogging regularly (or at least weekly? ), but with the way things are shaping up already in the new year, I can’t promise anything except that we certainly try our best! Yes, it’s been TEN years since I started The TomKat Studio blog on a whim, and boy has it been a ride! In case you haven’t heard, “TomKat” is named after my children, Tommy + Kate who were 3 and 1 when I started the blog. I went back to real estate school, started a real estate brokerage, TomKat Real Estate, then bought, renovated, staged and sold several homes.

This stunning home was newly built and completed this summer, so the owners were ready for all new Christmas decor throughout the entire home! This adorable red and green knitted garland added the perfect touch of Christmas in these gorgeous coffee table trays. By  adding a cozy winter candle, felt ball garlands, and touches of plaid we were able to create the perfect cozy table setting! Our team had so much fun locally sourcing things like pillows, place settings, candles and more at our favorites spots like Home Goods and Target to set this amazing table!
