If you follow beauty-related accounts on Instagram, you might have noticed Flowfushi's aggressive ad campaign for their Uz(Uzu in Japan) eye opening liners. Even though I generally like Flowfushi's products (their lip gloss/essence are pretty neat), I found the whole Unframe the Beauty campaign obnoxious and a bit off-putting. The orange has an unpleasant carrot tone (it also stains yellow) and light blue is a weird medium clear blue (not the opaque baby blue At 16 dollars a piece (1500 yens in Japan), I would say the range is fairly competitive in US market (welp the only other brand I can think of, with same price point, similar products and the same target demographic is...
At the time I wasn't remotely familiar with this high end (rather expensive to me but cheaper than Jo Malone) niche (I threw this word like popcorn but Shiro is indeed selective even in Japan) brand, because I don't know much about it. I have very dry skin for most part of the year and never bothered with body lotion, I feel like buying a pricey one like Shiro would make sure I at least reach for it. It doesn't smell like citrus zest, orange soda, orange juice (actually I think OJ smells like vomit) or furniture polish... White Tea in the other hand isn't as natural (maybe due to the fact that white tea doesn't have that much of a fragrance? ) for a split second it reminded me of some fragrance spray I got from CVS back in 2006, admittedly a little cheap.
The price at Cat Cafe Mocha wasn't too bad, something like 350 yen for vending machine drink then 200 yens for every 10 minutes. I packed two of my Urban Outfitter (clearance find) gingham dress, because I don't need to pack extra bra with them... It was perfect for first time tourist but I am not inclined to revisit, I feel like street cats got more characters and are free to touch ( The particular area was nice to visit (for once) but you are not missing out if you don't.
The Kiss Duo Eyes is my second of that purchase (after that Sweets Sweets palette that was straight up mud) and it made me realize that... Kiss Duo Eyes is a range of Duo Eyeshadow with interesting juicy color and a lovely acrylic case. Looking pretty in the pan doesn't mean it will swatch well, eyeshadow that swatch well won't always look great on the eyes either. You don't see wearable everyday blue for dark brown eyes and yellow skin tone that often.
