Last night we had the pleasure of being some of the first people to try out a new local brewery, Malt Shovel Taphouse. We got to try all the craft beers, taste so much delicious food that pairs perfectly with the different brews. And you can find 16 of these types of craft beers on tap at any time at Malt Shovel House. And the beers featured will be from brewers such as Malt Shovel, White Rabbit, Eumundi, Byron Bay Brewing, Furphy, Kosciuszko, Little Creatures, Brooklyn Brewery and Panhead.

The Pacific Hotel Brisbane is located just outside of the main CBD area across from the beautiful Roma Street Parkland in the Spring Hill precinct. It’s still only a short stroll into the Brisbane CBD, but it gets you away from the main hustle and bustle without being too far from the action if you want to go into the CBD, which I really liked. It’s a modest hotel without too many bells and whistles, but if you’re looking for a relaxing business or leisure stay then this is a great place to do it. And it’s probably a good thing because when there’s too much food I end up eating way too much.
