Today we start the 2nd quarter of the 2019 Stash Busting Crochet Along with square #7. This block features the granny spike crochet stitch

This crochet stitch is made by repeating 5 single crochets and 5 double crochets across the row and then on the next row you switch it so you’re single crocheting in all the double crochets and double crocheting in all the single crochets. I used 2 colors on my square in a sort of random wide striped pattern (see the notes section for exactly where). Ch 2, Dc in same st as ch 2 and in next 4 sc. Ch 1, sc in same st as ch 1, sc in next 4 dc.
