My oldest has been begging to take his new Outdoor Book outside, so we grabbed his book and headed out for a nature walk. Earlier last week I actually stumbled upon this cute little scavenger hunt bag in the OneSpot at Target and knew my son would love it! With our Outdoor Book + bag in hand, we turned our nature walk into a fun scavenger hunt! When we checked off one of the items on our scavenger hunt bag, we would then open our handy Outdoor Book to learn more about it.

This past weekend we celebrated the 1st day of spring (just a few days late) with an afternoon on the lake followed by a post-dinner ice cream sundae bar – completely dairy-free! I wanted to do a little something special for the kids, so instead of going out to our usual ice cream spot, we made an ice cream bar right here at home. And I think you just might be surprised to find out that some of your fave ice cream toppings are in fact dairy-free! The list of dairy-free toppings you can include in your ice cream bar is actually quite long; however in an effort to keep things simple for kids, we chose 6 of our faves to share.
