As a sports photographer/reporter, fall is my busiest year with games, grad school work, and also photo sessions for clients. As a freelancer I can have an easy day or I can have days like today where I am with the Dallas Mavericks all day, have a little break to write this, and then interview the SMU Football head coach. Now as a digital marketing consultant, I preach writing and blogging to clients, but realize I don't even blog enough like I should be! I am sure this list is going to grow as the days roll along, but I want to hear from you what your fall activities consist of.

It is important to look at your list of ideas and see if they are actually realistic and if they align with your goal and mission. Currently, my tops goals are: book more clients, be more productive throughout the week (shocker), and drink more water! I would say all of these benefit my mission, but let's think more dramatic of booking 20 photo-sessions with a real life unicorn...it will ultimately never happen. For the goals I have presented, here are facts I have to face: a lot of money will be invested, my time will become more valuable, and I will be giving my business a lot of my energy.

I would look on the sidelines of the field or court and see I was the only female that regularly covered a game. I have witnessed guys throw my camera bag on the floor because it does look like a female's bag and I honestly don't think they would do that to another man's bag. As a female photographer, I know I stand out from every other photographer as well as the other female photographers I have met over the years. I want young girls or aspiring female photographers to see me in action on the field or the court and to be inspired.
