Turn on your JavaScript to view content I know… it’s taken me FOREVER to get our nursery reveal up! Haha! I wanted to do it when we first finished it, but then I wanted to have the newborn photos to add to this blog post, so… here we are! We definitely wanted to create this space on a budget. We just moved into our new house in May, so we were not looking to spend thousands on the nursery

The hospital gave me socks to wear also, but they weren’t as warm for me! these are the slippers I brought, which I use ALL THE TIME at home, but to be honest I didn’t even need them or wear them at the hospital because my feet were SO incredibly swollen. Like I said earlier, I didn’t have any issues with leaking until my milk actually came in, which wasn’t until a few days after we got home The hospital provided EVERYTHING I needed, so I really didn’t need to bring any recovery items like pads.
Another thing I didn’t know: I thought the point of the epidural was to make you NOT FEEL your whole lower body. So since I couldn’t feel my entire lower body, they had to lower the epidural drip a little so that I could regain some feeling. So the epidural definitely makes it to where you’re not in PAIN, but you are definitely still extremely uncomfortable and I wouldn’t say it’s completely painless even with an epidural (which is what I always thought). I still couldn’t really move or walk even though the epidural had worn off (my body was SO weak), so they had to give me a bedpan (a little weird).
