Where Am I?

I’ve actually slowly been declining in posts over the past 4 years and definitely in the past 2 years. I got engaged in April (I don’t think I ever made an official announcement on this site). All You’ve Wanted to Know & Things You Didn’t Realize You Needed to Know!

It’s Been So Long...

I’ve actually slowly been declining in posts over the past 4 years and definitely in the past 2 years. Here’s a picture that’s at least 2 years old. All You’ve Wanted to Know & Things You Didn’t Realize You Needed to Know!

Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis: All You’ve Wanted to Know & Things You Didn’t Realize You Needed to Know!

You will be diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis (or in some cases indeterminate colitis) two distinct kinds of IBD, but YOUR Crohn’s Disease will not be the same as someone else’s Crohn’s Disease (or your UC will not be the same as someone else with UC) because the other person has different genetics, grew up in a different environment, has a different microbiome, etc. Being diagnosed with Crohn’s colitis does not mean you have both Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, rather it means you have Crohn’s Disease that is found only in your colon. but it has the characteristics of Crohn’s Disease and therefore has been diagnosed as Crohn’s disease instead of Ulcerative Colitis. Over time your doctor may be able to tell whether it is ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s colitis (Crohn’s disease located in your colon) and your diagnosis could change to one or the other.

VOMIT PART 2. A DIFFICULT TIME IN MY LIFE.

, I have a J-pouch as most of you know, and I have a rare motility disorder called chronic intestinal pseudo obstruction (CIPO for short), so I don’t really talk about another condition that I have called Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction (CIPO). This is from a Facebook Live that I did a couple days ago while I was at a conference attending as a health advocate for Crohn’s disease and Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction, only 1 week after getting out of the hospital. I talk about looking good while not feeling good, being malnourished and underweight, how I stay positive (or how I don’t), and what it’s like when people don’t get it.
