We opted for the mid range accommodation, Querceto di Castellina, that ended up giving us all the luxury we needed. Tucked into the rolling hills of the Chianti region, Querceto di Castellina checked off all the boxes for the picturesque image of a Tuscan vineyard that we had set in our minds. It is small and removed, set in the country, giving it a totally secluded feel that makes you want to cozy up with your partner after a not-so- hard day sipping the local chianti. We went in February which was lovely due to how quiet it was giving us lovely quality alone time, but if you prefer activities or want to sample the wines at other vineyards, the region is pretty closed up in the winter.
