Business Process Management, or BPM software, is revolutionizing the direction CRM companies are headed with their products. Since Salesforce has come out with ‘Lightning’ (their latest CRM interface), it has incorporated BPM notation and automation into the platform. This differs from bpm’online, which is a BPM-first tool with built in CRM, marketing and customer service modules. SugarCRM recently purchased mobile startup Stitch in an effort to improve enhance productivity for the CRM’s mobile users. Once Stitch is calibrated with your sales process (which you help set up), it starts making suggestions to find the most valuable and relevant things to do on a “right now” basis. The Stitch application is essentially a mobile assistant for salespeople, grouping and sifting through cloud-based documents to provide personalized sales recommendations via analytic insights. Sugar’s mobile client is good, but we’re very confident this will push the limit of what CRM apps are capable of.
