As reported by Barracuda Networks, a new variant based on the Locky Ransomware virus is rapidly spreading with over 20 million attacks in 24 hours. This infection randomizes the subject, content, and domain of the infected email to stay ahead of virus blockers. It is spreading via infected emails with attachments, usually from a spoofed Herbalife or Copier type email. Barracuda Networks has posted the following images are examples of the infected emails.

Reports are coming in that QuickBooks servers are down and preventing users from accessing their company files on Intuit hosted solutions products such as QuickBooks Online. This is a server side error, meaning that the users themselves are not the ones experiencing the issue. 02:45PM EST: Service is already being restored and we have reports from customers of service working again. is down affecting 3 South-East states. Spectrum 24×7 dedicated Enterprise support team cannot be reached via their support number of 866-603-3199 because everything in Option 2 to report a new issue goes to a dead end. Shortly After posting this article @AskSpectrum reached out to inform us that they do not have an ETA.
