A restaurant set up inside a cavern, transporting you back to the Stone Age, and serving a platter of scrumptious vegetarian delicacies – did you know you can experience all this, right amidst the bustling City of Joy? A platter of paneer cubes stuffed with cheese, marinated in Indian spices and cooked to perfection in tandoor, this one was definitely a delectable upgrade to the usual Paneer Tandoori. Potato halves stuffed with minced continental vegetables, coated in corn-flakes and baked to crispy golden brown, with cheese oozing out from the top – this could easily pass as a scrumptious bomb of flavours on our palate. A vegetable cutlet, served in glory with pineapple slices, assorted vegetables, potato wedges, side of noodles, topped with sizzling pink sauce was the crackling dish of the night and of course our favourite.
One such piece of an outfit that’s dear to Lahari’s heart is this evening wear – a strapless all black jumpsuit she had her hands on, a couple of years back. Sometimes she keeps the look really simple (like the one below), or sometimes she throws over a black sheer lace cape to dress it up, or layer it other ways in accordance to her persona for the night. We really find pleasure in setting your styling whims on the run, and this one’s by far one of our favourites that we have created. We decided to stick to monochrome colour tones, and a chose a white ribbed body-fitting top to be the game-changing layer.
The chunky knitwear, over-sized coats, sequinned dresses are getting a toss for lighter fabrics, flowy silhouettes and brighter colours. Versatility of a skirt like this lies in the fact that it can be dressed down with a over sized jumper and a pair of sneakers, or it can be presented posh by putting together with a strapless chiffon blouse and fancy heels. As we have already mentioned a gazillion times in our previous posts, that accessories uplifts any outfit, we obviously couldn’t compromise on adding a touch of statement jewellery. This dainty yet stunning necklace with long chain, studded stones, and gliding tassels, was the perfect dose of “extra” in the effortless pairing.
We would drive in the middle of night to the Mountains of Ooty, through Kotagiri, just to see the sunrise from the hills and share our morning cup of coffee with such scenic beauties. We would also go on frequent road trips to the western coastline in the states of Kerala, to spend our leisure time by the beaches. I started believing that shoving my comfiest clothes in my backpack just before leaving the house is the best way ever to pack for little trips. Matching or mismatching, its all about having fun with what you wear and having fun in what you wear.
