English Communication Becoming the Norm During Remote Working

With businesses transitioning to working remotely, communicating has come to mean much more than just verbal communication, with organisations requiring employees to write reports, compose emails and use their English in social contexts. This has led to multinational corporations like Rakuten (Japan’s largest online marketplace) to introduce policies making English the operating language, even though they are headquartered in a non-English-speaking country. A lot of good tools have been developed, which allow an individual’s resilience at a workplace to be measured.
