We’ve been really enjoying the beautiful Houston weather these days. Been scarce here on posts and posting mostly in stories. Thank y’all for sticking around ❤️

We ventured out to the Houston Museum of Natural Science today with some friends. It was super busy with lots of people. We checked out the Ramses exhibit. Super neat stuff to check out. Including 2 REAL mummies 😯 Did you know that Ramses had 8 wives and fathered over 100 children by the time he died at 90 years old?!? Couldn’t leave until we strolled through the butterfly center ❤️ @hmns @shophmns

One perk to living on the gulf coast of Texas?! The beach is 76 degrees in January ☺️ We had such a good time playing on the beach, the boys took out the metal detector, and we found all kinds of cool shells. ❤️

Me, Braxton and Kannyn recently went and checked out @moodygardens and we had such a fun time! It was pretty empty as we went when it opened on a weekday. We enjoyed all the pyramids but especially liked the rainforest. Have you been to Moody Gardens? Did you talk to the parrot? 🦜

When we first started homeschooling, we schooled in any room in the house, in beds, living room, car, etc. It went ok but I realized that my boys would benefit from a dedicated school area and oddly enough, school desks. They needed their own spots, but somewhere we would all be together and I could help anyone that needed it. While our setup is always being adjusted, added to, and tweaked, this is our school room right now. How do you homeschool?

Renewed our pass to the @houstonzoo and enjoyed so much our visit today. The small monkeys were so vocal this morning which is our favorite! And we can watch the gorillas forever. What’s your favorite zoo animal?

Don’t mind me, I’ll be crying in a corner for the next 3 hours. 😭😭 Just dropped my older boys off at homecoming dance 👀👀 The most handsome boys I’ve ever seen. Hope they have the best time ever. ❤️

We went to Frobergs Farm today. It was such a fun time. And we left with all kinds of goodies.

As we {in t h e o r y} bid adieu to Summer, we had a family fun day at the beach. We spent the day basking in the sun, catching crabs with Corbin, building sand castles with Zander and Kannyn and watching Braxton play the ring game over and over. We all came home tired, red, and happy. The | ocean | is my happy place and it does my soul so good to witness my boys loving the water as much as I always have.

We took the noons out to @kemahboardwalk yesterday. It was quite warm, boys did their rides and we enjoyed being out on the water, then finished up with food at @saltgrass 🤤

When people hear that I don’t drink, I get the usual, “are you pregnant?” Or “oh you don’t drink?!” Shocked response thinking maybe I have a problem. The problem is I just don’t appreciate it anymore. I don’t like the way my body feels when I drink, I don’t like the way it tastes, I don’t like the way I feel the next day or even days later. I let go of the notion most adults use “I’m a grown adult I can drink when I want”. I don’t need alcohol to have fun and love myself more now than I ever have. I don’t judge anyone for drinking, prolly still encourage a chug or shot taking by others. THIS is why I don’t drink. Been since end of February or beginning March. Honestly can’t remember. Just decided one day that would be the last drop of alcohol I would have. Weirdly proud of myself. 🖤

Having a fun time is not extinct! Saturday is for the boys! Annnnnnd yard work? Yuuuup! We tore up our front yard to get it ready to plant different flowers and make a porch sitting area.
