Born and raised in Norway and still exploring it bit by bit, I have crafted the perfect itinerary for 10 days in Norway to help maximise your travel experience while you visit! Having lived in Oslo for 2 years, I’ve made a list of 30 fun things to do in Oslo that you can add to your itinerary for Norway if you have a few more days in this capital town. Enjoy the last day of your 10 days in Norway trip before you head to the Oslo International airport for your return flight back home. UNESCO World Heritage Site listed and Norway’s narrowest fjord – Nærøyfjord, and visit the Viking village in Gudvangen before returning to Oslo.
Hence, the best places to see Norway’s fjords are Stavanger, Bergen and even Ålesund, if you are wondering which Norwegian cities to visit. There’s a lot to do in the Sognefjord region, like hiking in the Jotunheimen National Park, exploring Norway’s oldest stave churches, and fish or cycle around the idyllic villages. You can either hop on a private cruise operator that takes you from Bergen to Flåm or drive directly to Gudvangen or Flåm to explore the Nærøyfjord by boat. Therefore, it’s best to drive to Gudvangen or Flåm and then sail through the fjord on a fjord cruise as mentioned above.
Above all, if you opt for taking the train, you will get a chance to ride on the world-famous Flam Railway, which is undoubtedly Europe’s most spectacular train journey. If you plan to make a one-way train journey, I would advise you to pick the Oslo to Flam route instead of the Flam to Oslo route, as the downhill ride on the Flåm Railway is slightly smoother and more comfortable. If you are someone who loves travelling independently and with less crowds, look for dates when Norway in a Nutshell tour isn’t operating and book your train for those days. If you opt for a bus, you can book the bus tickets from Sogndal to Flam from either Vy, Nor-Way Bussekspress or Kringom websites.

The city is the perfect winter break for people looking to enjoy the slopes in Italy’s northern region. The city’s canal area offers chic eateries, street art galore, vintage shops, and all-you-can-eat sushi plus bars where you can enjoy the city’s lively aperitif. You’ll find Bari’s hidden archways and alleys as you meander around the city’s colorful district.
