Look what I found! A pic of my first house AND built in project 25 years ago! . I had no idea what I was doing and It’s clear in the pic! . 1. I have drywall metal corners installed but started the cabinetry before finishing them, I didn’t worry about the wall to ceiling transition because I knew crown molding would hide it. . 2. I used 1/2” big box pine ply for the arches and cabinets that is terrible to paint and not very stable. I should of used MDF or cabinet grade ply but I wasn’t there yet! . I see many more things but I guess you have to start somewhere and this house is where I learned the hands on side of the trade and started my tool collection. State of the shop! . To prepare for the upcoming fall and winter shop builds, I took advantage of the mild weather this afternoon and completed a total deep clean of the shop! . I have had @wallcontrol storage panels in my shop for over 2 years now and have found that is the one part of my shop that doesn’t need constant organizing. Everything has its place and it’s so easy to put back up things up everything stays in order. (Note my bench top always seems to be cluttered) . A standard 6’ step ladder is regularly not an option due to terrain layout and higher install points. . CNC tip - You only get one chance when v carving! . Making a reference guide can save mistakes on finished pieces by taking the guess work of which bit to use based on the font and size. . I used a variety of different fonts and carved the model number of the bit.
