It was such a special day dedicating our Amelia True to the Lord today before our sweet friends and family.🤍 And Millie getting to wear a sweet dress my late Grandmother made for me when I was a baby! When I was 7 weeks pregnant (and had no idea the gender), I had a dream I was walking down the sidewalk of our neighborhood with our little girl, and I knew her name was Amelia and nickname was Millie. That name wasn’t even on our radar, yet I really felt the dream was from the Lord as it was so vivid and I still remember it perfectly. I woke up and told Gray with so much excitement, and we looked up the name Amelia, which means “defender” or “hardworking.” We only got more and more peace about it as time went on (and of course the gender reveal confirming it.) We always thought we’d use the middle name “Grace” for a little girl, but were ultimately lead to have her middle name be “True” instead, knowing our world needs both Grace and Truth, but believing our baby girl would grow up to be a defender of the Truth—our “Amelia True.” It is both a privilege and a great responsibility to be her parents and raise her up in Christ, and we are so unbelievably grateful to God and our village committed to helping us do just that. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.”

6 MONTHS!😭💞🥹🎂🥳🎉🥲 The greatest and fastest half a year with our precious baby girl. My heart both swells and breaks a little every day watching her grow and change and learn🥺I find myself regularly grieving yesterday’s Millie, but yet sooo happily welcoming who she’s becoming! It’s been a BIG month for Millie as she learned to sit up on her own, tried her first solid foods (swipe), started really arm crawling, took her first plane trip, and so much more! It is my absolute honor and joy to be her mommy. Happy 6 months my Amelia True! We love you SOOOO MUCH!!!!🫶🏼

Our baby will be 6 months old tomorrow😭 Feels like just yesterday you were our snuggly little sleepy newborn… I can’t help but cry looking at all our old pictures! Of all the titles I’ve held over the years, my favorite by far is Mama.💖 It was so special being back at Miss Alabama and emceeing last night! Rhode Island + Boston for the Scalzi family reunion🇧🇬 And Millie is truly the life of the party everywhere! Exploring around town, her first plane/train/subway ride, hanging at home, a baseball game, out to dinner, family picnic, or the beach—she just brings so much joy and fun to everyone and I am SO blessed to be her mommy. Our silly Millie is 5 MONTHS old!😭🥹🤍💞🥲 Her adorable little personality is REALLY coming out and it has been so so so fun to experience. She loves laughing, blowing raspberries, inchworming herself everywhere, grabbing her toes, splashing in the bath, rough-housing with dad, and cuddling all night with mommy. Hi!! Been MIA recently. Typically I would say something like “but don’t worry I’m going to start posting a lot again just been busy,” but not this time! Truth is, I have a lot of other things going on in my life right now (all good!) that take priority over this account! Between adding a new job (you know who to call with your real estate needs😉), owning a home, and focusing on the quality time I actually get with my husband and family and friends, I just can’t justify prioritizing the time to post on here all the time. Just not the season for it.😊 I hope you all understand and I can’t thank you all enough for alllllll the love and support and happy messages and re-makes of meals over the years! I will probably get back into doing this more regularly, but not giving myself any type of timeline on when that feels right again! I may periodically still do recipe posts when I actually cook something pretty and worth sharing😂it just won’t be consistent!
