No one talks about how far ahead you plan for the baby the moment you see those two lines on a test. April 2022 was when I had miscarriage #3. Here we are, a year later, and it still makes me sad. We should have an almost 6 month old right now, we should be watching Hope be a big sister to two and see how Faith handles being a big sister herself. It just wasnāt in Godās plans though. Itās so hard to accept that sometimes but I have to remember that HIS ways are higher than my ways. I canāt see the big picture and the plans He has for me so I have to learn to trust in Him, to put my faith in Him, and hold onto hope. Isnāt that why we named the perfect blessings He gave us those exact words? Hope ā¤ļø Faith. If youāre in a season of waiting, just remember who is in control. Heās got YOU. He loves YOU. I know weāre told to make content for our audience. The social media experts like to say āitās not about you.ā But hereās where I stand: I want my girls, when Iām gone and my social media account is the easiest way for them to look at photos and videos, to see my messages for them - how much I love them, how much I care about them, how much fun we had, and how much theyāre in my heart. They probably wonāt remember the moments in these videos, but I do. My girls are my world and Iāll continue to make content for my audience, but I also want to unapologetically make content for them too - ones where they can watch them and see just how much they mean to me. Iām just heartbroken. Really, truly heartbroken. As I sit here at our dining room table after lunch with tears steaming down my face and the girls safely playing close to me, I just donāt have the words to explain how Iām feeling. Another shooting at a school - a place where kids are supposed to be safe. So overwhelmed with grief for all those kids, teachers, and families affected. The evil we see and the horrible decisions many make because human free will exists continue to terrify me. I often wonder what kind of world my girls will grow up into if nothing changes. As a parent, Iām making the decision to teach my girls where their HOPE should come from and teach them how to process their emotions. Itās just the beginning of what I can do and the responsibility I have to hopefully make a difference. If I can be honest though, everything feels very overwhelming.
