This is SO not true for a lot of moms who choose to breastfeed! First of all, the increased hunger is REAL! Second, our bodies are amazing and thanks to our cavemen ancestors, we may be hanging onto that extra weight to sustain our babies incase of a famine or something š So no, just because you breastfeed, it doesnāt mean you will easily be able to lose weight š even though society has perpetuated that lie for a long time! #normalizenormalbodies #normalizebreastfeeding #newmom
Did you know that starting swim lessons as early as four months old can help babies become comfortable in the water and acquire life-saving skills? [ad] September is National Baby Safety Month so I thought it was fitting to share how @GoldfishSwimSchool has been helping us keep our littlest fish safe with their Mini Lessons! Specifically designed for children aged 4-35 months, her baby swim class has helped get baby A comfortable in the water while giving us strategies and tips to use to keep her as safe as possible whenever we may be near water. Itās never too early to get your little fish in the water! @goldfishgaithersburg #goldfishswimschool #goldfishpartner
Any other homeschoolers want to share what crazy things theyāve done so I donāt feel so extra? š But to be honest, Iām kind of loving it! . . . #homeschoollife #homeschoollifestyle #homeschoolscience #homeschoolmom
This girl had THE best time swimming 24/7 on our recent vacation! [ad] Thanks to @goldfishswimschool for giving her the skills and confidence she needed to keep up with all the big cousins in the water šš» She has truly become a fish! With such a fun atmosphere at @goldfish_gaithersburg and lots of play built into class, she doesnāt even realize sheās practicing and learning new skills each week. I canāt wait to see what she does next! š #goldfishswimschool #goldfishpartner
Itās true! [ad] We use mostly cloth diapers like our favorites from @essemblybaby but opt for disposable when traveling and on the go because it works best for us! Even using just 3 Esembly diapers per day helps keep over 1,000 disposables out of a landfill each year. š¤Æ They add a little bit more bulk than normal diapers but I just size up one for bottoms and they definitely donāt keep baby A from getting around comfortably. Plus, washing is no big deal and I barely notice the extra lid every other day with the millions of other loads thanks to three kids š¤Ŗ And how can you resist these adorable prints?! #essemblybaby #clothdiapering
This is the face of a little boy who canāt wait for his @goldfishswimschool class! [ad] As we get ready to head on vacation this summer, Iām so thankful for the confidence and skills my kids have gained in the water thanks to @goldfish_gaithersburg and their Science of SwimPlayĀ® Curriculum! All three of them are getting more comfortable in the water, while also learning the importance of water safety, which is so important, especially this time of year! I canāt wait to see them continue to grow and thrive in the water while having fun too. Has your little one had swim lessons yet? #goldfishpartner #goldfishswimschool
Just a little @yotoplay_us travel hack for you! Not sponsored! We just love ours and Iām excited about this hack to make it easier for my kids to keep track of cards while we travel this summer. If you donāt know what a Yoto player is, check out the link in my profile to learn more and for a discount! Here are the details āļø cable key chain ring attached to plastic ID badge holders āļøThe ID badge holders are secure enough that I donāt feel like the cards will fall out but they can be pulled out easily enough when you want to switch out the cards at any point. āļøYou could put however many on as you want, but 5 seems like a good number for my kids! #yoto #yotoplayer #yotoplay #travelhacks #momhack #parentlife #screenfreekids #lessscreentime
My attitude on sleep has been ever evolving since I had my oldest. Now, with three kids ranging in age from 9 months to almost 7, Iāve accepted the fate that sleep isnāt always the end all be all. Instead, I think itās important to prioritize sleep when needed and be more lax when you know itāll work out ok. That means that when we can enjoy a family activity, making memories but the kids will be in bed an hour or more later, Iām usually all for pushing the bedtime. However, when one of my kids was going through a phase of having horrible night terrors if we didnāt get them to bed at a certain time, I definitely opted for a strict bedtime for everyoneās sake. But overall, if an hour later bedtime means more memories made, especially in those lovely summer evening hours, I say do it! (Or at the very least, consider it š)
If you are A LOT like me, you research, research some more, then do just a little bit more research, because the perfect high chair has to exist, right?! 5-point harness (my kids are wild, wriggly little suckers!) ā¢ cushioned seat for comfort (also, see above) ā¢ something that could be pushed right up to the table ā¢ doesnāt have legs that stick out horribly that I will 100 percent stub my toe on multiple times a week ā¢ grows with the child into toddler and preschool years Ok Once your baby can sit up unassisted and is mature enouch to begin eating solid foods, you can use the high chair wit the 5-point harness and tray or pushed up to a table without the tray. Once your child is big enough to climb in and out of their seat unassisted, you can remove the harness and adjust the seat and footrest for the child to use the seat as a regular chair at your table.
With this being my second pregnancy that has me in the third trimester for the majority of the summer, Iāve learned a few things and come across some amazing products that will take the edge off a little and help you enjoy that summer pregnancy a little more! Whether itās getting carry out an extra time (or two) each week or choosing paper plates versus having to do the dishes, little things to make life easier in the moment add up to me feeling better at the end of a long summer day. or if Iām pregnant or not, so it only becomes better when I am pregnant, have a toddler in tow, and would like to avoid dripping with sweat just by making the several yard trek into the grocery store and back in the middle of the summer. When Iām feeling especially annoyed about how yucky I may be feeling, I try to remember that I am lucky to be growing a tiny little human inside of me after all and these things arenāt so bad either:
But sometimes, even when the cleaning is done, your living space still needs an update or a refresh and thatās exactly what I decided after my living room was cleaned, but still felt dark and dingy. Out With The Old Ok, I know itās not THAT bad, but after you see how much better this space looks now, youāll see why this before picture of our living room makes me cringe a little. I was so pleased with how our new Home Dynamix rug transformed our living room that I decided to make another simple update to the space. I think itās easy to tell from these pictures just how much something as simple as a rug can update your living room or any room in your house for that matter!
The Express Crockās 8 pre-set pressurized settings makes one-pot meals easier than ever. My personal favorite function of the Crock Pot Express Crock Multi-Cooker is the pressure cooker function, which cooks pretty much anything you can think of in a matter of minutes, but it also includes the slow cooker function that you probably know and love Crock-Pot for! The awesome thing about this Crock-Pot Express Crock is that it can replace both your pressure cooker and slow cooker, saving you precious kitchen storage room. Add salt, water, milk, brown sugar, and vanilla and set Express Crock to āMultigrainā function and set timer for 10 minutes.
