From a young age through society, I got told that in order to be happy, you need to fall in love and get married. Other girls in my class would always daydream about their perfect wedding; what dress they’d have, how their hair would be styled, the venue, the colour scheme…every little detail they’d fantasise and gush over. So, I decided to put my dream away on a shelf and vowed to come back to it in a few years (3 years was too early to be deciding anything that momentous). They’d spend all this time, money and faff on a beautiful wedding then throw it all away when they’ve decided to change their mind.

Since my blog’s launch back in February, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Dresslily through several posts and they very kindly sent me some more of their clothing range. I paired it with these metallic rose gold canvas shoes* that I pinched from my place of work and some sunglasses (working for a shoe shop is both a blessing and a curse. and I feel can be worn in a number of ways; as a standard dress (with something underneath though as it is quite see-through) or as a cover up for a bikini, which is where this marble print bikini comes in! Because Dresslily are a lovely bunch of folks, they’ve given me a series of discount codes to pass onto you!

Now, I can say that having a dog has definitely changed my outlook on man’s best friend and honestly, this blog post is just another excuse for me to show my fur baby off to the world. The Story of the Jack Russell Cross… Morgan is a dog person and has always enjoyed their company much more than cats; a stark contrast from myself. He was the sweetest and most gentle dog going, although Morgan would always revel in telling me stories of him and his siblings chasing Banjo down the road because he’d escaped out of the house. It’s been a wonderful three years being a fur mum to Patch and seeing his little personality come out each day.

So when I got the chance to tee off with fellow blog squad Neesha, Lottie & Charlee (and Charlee’s other half Robyn) and then there’s a bonus 19th hole where if you win, you get to come back for a free round. Despite my terrible mini golf skils, I really enjoyed playing with the squad and everyone got hilariously competitive. When we were finished, we got given some snacks and a chance to sample some pizza from the Pizza Cabana, which was delicious.
