downtown you will find one of the three cenotes in Bacalar, and this one is my personal favorite; not only you will find the famous hammocks and swings covering Instagram’s hashtag #Bacalar, but the color of the water here is breathtaking. The place is in the middle of nothing, so the boats stop in the middle of the shallow waters and the only piece of land is 2 x 2 ft with a little concrete wall from which you can jump to the water. Let’s not forget Bacalar is a Magical Town, and as such, it’s mandatory that you visit the downtown. The entrance is $50 MXN (almost 3 DLLS) and you’ll find a lot of tour vans parked since it’s so famous for tourists.
