With the campground being close by, this might be a great option to launch from Turner Camp and float with the current to Big Citrus Blue and continue your float all the way to Spruce Drive Boat Ramp. With Citrus Blue Spring being just off the Withlacoochee River, with too much rain the river could potentially flood into the spring causing it to “brown out” which means that the beautiful blue water seen in these pictures would instead be a dark brown and similar to the river water.

A hidden gem among the dozens of natural springs scattered across Florida is Silver Glen Springs in the Ocala National Forest. Silver Glen Spring run is known for its crystal-clear water and its unique secluded location tucked deep into the Ocala National Forest. The winter months at Silver Glen Springs offer the best chance to see manatees as they congregate in the warmer spring water.
