I am Heather Brummett, a Houston-based influencer who is just a real mom sharing my real life experiences with the world. Thank you for being a part of my world.
I began blogging in 2010 and it has evolved over the years, but at the core of my blog is my heart, and I continue to share my passions and experiences with my audience.
I have a strong wanderlust and love to explore new places. I often share my travel adventures here and on my social media channels.
I am married and a mom to 2 kids and 2 rescue dogs, so there is never a dull moment in our house. I know many others can relate to the chaotic life of balancing family and work, and I hope to inspire and help others through my journey.
I am passionate about mental health awareness and strive to break the stigma around it.
Some fun facts about me: I love coffee, writing, sharing, my family, and believe family always comes first. My girl sent me this while visiting somewhere. Notice “relax and unwind”? Now Look down and see “He restores my soul.” This is from Psalm 23. And what a beautiful reminder. I figured someone else needs this reminder too! Our Lord restores our soul when we are wearied, exhausted, troubled, anxious, and worn down from the weigh of the world. When you feel like your inner drive is just spent. When life has trampled on your joy and passion. In moments like these our amazing God restores (or literally returns or renews) our soul! God wants more for us. He wants to restore our soul so that we are whole and living the life he intended with joy! So we can focus on the people we love and things that we love to do, that trigger joy and delight ! So remember this today! Look to him. He knows the plans he has for you. Plans to prosper and not harm you. (Jer 29:11) He’s got you and he’s got this! Allow him in and he will restore your soul! God’s got this friends! Thanks baby girl for seeing and sending this! 💕

For me Mother’s Day is being grateful that I am blessed to be a mom to my kids. Early in my life I was told I could not get pregnant without major medical intervention. But GOD! He had other plans! I prayed for both of my children and am so thankful God allowed me to be their mom! They are growing so fast. I’m Embracing every season of life as we go. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms, bonus moms, mother in laws, mother figures and those who long to be a mother one day. (I remember those mother’s days and want you to know your story isn’t over yet! ) Hugs to you! And for those who’s moms are no longer on the earth for a hug only a mom can give. I’m thinking of you too! Hugs! Whatever your situation, it’s ok to cry over what was and what you hope will be! And give thanks and even cry tears of joy about what is. 💕💕💕 There is no love like a mothers love!

Our last rodeo for the year! We saw Cody Johnson at the Houston Rodeo and it was fantastic! What a wonderful night with the family! Animals, carnival food, bull riding, barrel racing and lots of smiles! 1 thing CoJo did hat impressed me was calling out all police, fire fighters and other first responders and military. He asked that they turned on their phone light and we all stood and gave them a huge applause as he tipped his hat. Very moving. And prior to the rodeo, while we were at the concession stands, they started to pray on the field and over intercom and everyone stopped. Everyone! The shops, food stands, concessions, those trying to get to their seat. Everyone! Then they did the pledge and national Anthem and people remained still. They were honoring God and our country.
