whats that fishy smell? 🤢 ohhh I forgot it’s livestream Thursday with @fishdipfreestyle and @ionitstudios 🦞🦑🐠🧜‍♂️ Every week we have the privilege (and misfortune 🥲) of setting up some mics and capturing the wildness that is FishDip Freestyle 🐡 The stream is a great way for us to experiment with different toys and find new ways to route signal thru our Tascam Model 12. The setup is pretty simple but it’s always a blast to plug something new in, just recently we got some more Beta 58’s that really help isolate the vocals (our stream room is extremely live so these mics have been making a world of a difference). Hola mis cariñitos 🫶 I’m Brad, the guy who’s been writing all these silly captions 😹 I’m also a mixer and producer here at the studio, and I’m very very happy and extremely proud to be sharing the Sentient Sound story with all of you through these posts. It’s been such a blessing to capture the musical moments we’ve captured in our studio - theres a special symbiosis of technology and emotion that fills up our spot and it’s an ambience that is felt in all the recordings we do. I’m uber excited to see how this vibe will inspire and shape the music that we touch this year. I wrote something so you can get to know me a little better : "Ever since I was young, I’ve always been around music one way or another. I’m very aware of the impact music can have on its listeners, which is why I find my craft so special - I’m here to chase the unseeable, the feeling and purity of music." You ever have a dream where you have racks and racks of gear 🥹 We have those often and this week we got a step closer to making our analog dreams a reality. We got some new gear and we’re so so happy to have these pieces in our rack 🫶 The new kids on the block are teaming forces with the rack veterans to add more life and more chune for your headtop ❗️❗️ Our new toys include the SSL G Bus Comp, a stereo pair of Distressors from Empirical Labs and 2 6ix Channels from SSL. Each piece sounds so fantastic and they’re already adding a unique sonic stamp to the music we make in here. When @dannyfettt is in the building it’s always a transcendent experience 🥹 Danny has a diverse palate of musical taste - one week he’s singing to the angels and the next he’s digging his enemies graves 🧟‍♂️ We’re very happy and proud to be producing and recording Danny’s music, it’s such a blessing to be able to share these moments in the studio together 🫶
