You see that lovely lady lil me is standing next to? 🧓🏼 That’s my gramma, my pokni, gma, grandma, dad’s mom. I could talk forever about what she meant to me, and how much I miss her. The other day I was thinking about her & randomly remembered how she said she hoped to come back as a hummingbird if she wasn’t one in a past life 🦅⁣ ⁣ She loved them, as many people do. But she’d go above and beyond and make her own “bird juice” for her feeders, still red to attract them. And they would gather around every single one. She had them along the front porch and usually some in the back, there was even some out in her back yard gardens 🌻 A lot of the beauty I’ve learned to appreciate has been because of her. So the hummingbird plays a huge role in my life because of her. Last year I decided to finally learn to play the ukulele but after my last non-epileptic seizure, relearning was something I didn't want to do. Keenan hard to teach me whatever he learned, but it's been hard for me to take initiative on my own now that he's advanced so far ahead of me. I know I don't need to be embarrassed but still! 🙈 So now I’m going to put time & effort into learning this year~⁣ ⁣ Around the end of the year I learned about @care2rock and just had to take lessons! 👩🏼‍🎤🎸 I matched with an amazing teacher that lives near my home in California and she knew exactly how to explain things in a way I'd understand 🙆🏻‍♀️ From explaining the metronome to how to a quick rundown on notes & reading sheet music! She also does voice lessons so I'll probably try that out too~⁣ ⁣ 🎼 They give you free lessons when you buy an instrument, or if you have one like I did you can purchase monthly lessons. (New subscribers even get to try their first lesson free~) And the coolest part is that for every lesson we take, they give free music mentorship for kids in foster care! Because my pain is pretty constant, it can be hard to enjoy things or even go out and do them sometimes.
