You can now add “enjoy a drink at their new rooftop bar with a delightful view of downtown Tampa Our second round included the West Denver Swizzle (Montelobos, Green Chile Vodka, Fernet Branca, Averna, Spicy Shrub, Lemon, Demerara) for me, and the Oobee Doo (Monkey Shoulder Whisky, Fino Sherry, St. George Spiced Pear, Pineapple, Lemon, Grenadine) for Ben. Last weekend, I was invited out to try bartaco's latest secret: the crispy avocado taco. Believe it or not, this texturally perfect little number is a taco that has found its way back to bartaco’s list of secret taco offerings more than once. Ben and I were able to try the Ernesto en Jalisco (tequila, luxardo maraschino, grapefruit cordial, lime juice, ruby red slice for garnish), the Green Goddess (tequila, triple sec, avocado, agave, lime juice, pistachio salt rimmed glass), and the La Rosita (tequila, cappelletti, rosé, moscato, agave simple, lemon juice, strawberry slices for garnish).I had a hard time deciding on a favorite between the Ernesto and the La Rosita. Until then, make sure you get to your bartaco ASAP to try the crispy avocado taco before it’s gone on 4/8.
I topped my avo toast off with Trader Joe’s chili lime seasoning, sriracha, and a blend of asiago parmesan cheese (a fortunate leftover goodie from having chicken Caesar salads for dinner last week).I hopped in the shower to get ready for my 9:30AM nail appointment quickly realizing there was no way I was going to make it to the salon in time. I was also worried they were going to take two hours to do my nails like they normally do which would make Ben and I late for our lunch reservation that afternoon. The good news is that since I moved my nail appointment, it allowed me more time to get ready for lunch. Ben and I finished up lunch and headed home to go for a walk around our neighborhood with Nash.
It’s wild to think that there’s still so much to learn from blogging. A few weeks ago I asked my Instagram followers to submit their blogging questions to me so that I could answer them in an FAQ blog post. I actually think that transparency and inserting your relatability into a blog post are two of the biggest cornerstones when it comes to blogging. Posting once, going radio silent for six months, and then re-emerging with a new blog post probably isn’t going to be the best plan of action when starting out (or really ever, unless you're not trying to build a readership).
