Time to say goodbye to the most amazing, and one of the hardest, years of my life. This year has been a year of change and adjustment for me. My family decided to move away from the city I have lived in for the last 19 years, I fell in love and had my heart broken, I moved out, transfered colleges and now go to school in Tennessee, and learned to trust God so much more than ever before. It's been a wild year to say the least, but through the best and the worst moments I came to understand myself better, understand what I want in life better, and got more comfortable with my wild, energetic, and sometimes awkward self. I'm so thankful for the way God has led, for the friends I've made, and the people that have been there for me through everything! It's been an amazing year!!! Good friends are hard to come by, so when you find them, keep them!! With the close of 2019 quickly coming to get us I've enjoyed looking back at the memories I've made this year and I feel so incredible blessed to have each of you in my life!!!! There is a long post under this caption where I spill my guts. . . Okay. Lets be honest. This world is kind of messed up. You’re not allowed to show feelings or thoughts without being judged. If you are feeling sad and actually admit it, people tell you are weak, to buck up, just get over it, stop thinking negatively, or that it’s not a big deal. On the other hand, if you are happy people get upset and say that you’re being fake or say that you aren’t taking into consideration the people that may be struggling right now because being happy could hurt them more. So what exactly is the appropriate emotion to show? If you can’t show sadness, or show happiness, what do you show? How is one supposed to know themselves when they aren’t allowed to embrace either of those emotions? Here is the conclusion I have come to. Life is complicated! Life is never perfect! There are moments when I just want to sit down and cry, and there are moments where life is going smoothly, and I am really happy. Learning to find the happiness in this not so perfect life is the only way to ever be happy because life is never perfect and it's okay to be happy! And learning to embrace tears is not weakness, its strength, because ignoring the judgment and being yourself is actually really brave!
