KMM Lifestyle is a life and style blog by Kristen Maas. With a focus on capsule style, Kristen encourages women to use fashion and beauty to help them feel confident in the skin they are in. KMM Lifestyle was originally created to share high quality, affordable fashion suitable for the working young adult woman. Over the years, it has evolved into a diverse community of women sharing their interest of fashion, beauty, travel and food, while also supporting each other over the hurdles of adulthood.
Kristen is a 30 year old woman who works full time as a nurse practitioner. She was born and raised in Upstate, NY and has always had a passion for the beauty that NY state has to offer. Her idea of a vacation is a road trip around NY state. She is self proclaimed foodie, Disney obsessed fashion lover who has a passion for mental health.
She created KMM Lifestyle as a creative outlet during a time when she was feeling a little lost navigating the streets of young adulthood. For her, fashion is a form of therapy. Kristen hopes to inspire her readers to find their unique style and encourage them that it’s not too late discover how to be the best version of yourself.

The weather is starting to warm up in NY and I am officially dreaming of spring and summer. If you have been here for a while, you know that I prefer to wear dresses to denim in the warmer months. I am also feeling optimistic about getting back out and going to social events (after a year long hiatus!) and have rounded up some of the prettiest, affordable spring dresses for every occasion.
I am not sure if I will use because I am also bringing disposable underwear and will use the ones at the hospital, but I wanted to have them just in case. Many suggested bringing the pillow you plan to use at home for nursing so that you can use it and troubleshoot in the hospital if needed. The rest of the time I plan to use the hospital blankets because I am anticipating a lot of unwrapping by me, JD, nurses, and doctors, and a lot of spit ups! Besides his toiletries, he is just going to bring 2 comfortable outfits (likely t-shirts/sweatshirts/joggers), clothes to sleep in, pillow, blanket, his AirPods, Yeti cup and cash for vending machines/food.

As far as preparing for delivery, I did read that eating 5-6 dates per day in the late third trimester can help with cervical ripening and postpartum blood loss. I will be taking 16 weeks of maternity leave from my full time job at the clinic, and some time off from posting on my blog/instagram. I started eating dairy again in the first trimester because I felt like my body was craving it, but gave it up completely around 30ish weeks and have had MINIMAL reflux since.
It’s everyone’s favorite go-to wardrobe staple when it comes to comfort. Today I am going to show you 40+ outfits I have put together with my black leggings over the years, along with some tips + tricks on how to take them to the next level! After years of buying poor quality black leggings that are see through, or rip on the seams, I chose to invest in a couple pairs of these and don’t regret it! Balance out the fitted silhouette with an oversized sweater/tunic top or layer a long cardigan or jacket to break it up a bit.

HOW TO STYLE ➡️ faux leather leggings. I have been getting a lot of questions on how to style leggings: here are my 5 tips! ⭐️1. When wearing ankle booties, show off that ankle girl! This will be more flattering than trying to tuck them in. ⭐️2. Always cover the 🍑! Layer long cardigans over hip length tops, OR one of my favorite ways is to layer a legging tee under a sweater so that you get some extra length. ⭐️3. Tunic length tops are your friend with these! ⭐️4. Try to avoid wearing only tight fitting tops. Balance it out by layering jackets, cardigans, vests. This will give your outfit some dimension. ⭐️5. Don’t be afraid to add some pattern and texture to your outfit! It’s the first fall weekend of the year 🍂🍁 we have been taking FULL advantage over here in NY. The leaves are starting to turn and it’s so beautiful - we took a drive up north to enjoy the fall colors and do some apple 🍎 picking. lots of questions about this dress the other day - it’s $25, would recommend sizing up 1 (or 2 with a 🤰🏻).
