On my trip to Florence I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Thiele alla Signoria located inside a historical 14th century Palazzo in the heart of the city. The greatest impression I had of Casa Thiele is the owner Anna who created this beautiful place as a labor of love for the city of Florence. The concept for the hotel is the Renaissance and she has 5 rooms to showcase it decorated in their own ways; the Messere, Madama, Birds, Clouds and Stars. Each room comes together wonderfully blending modern comforts with beautiful design while keeping the existing architecture of the historical building.
One of the benefits of staying in the Turquoise Towers at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun was free use of the spa facilities. Coming in we would grab some cold towels infused with lavender water and take them into the room, placing the towels over our head and let the smell permeate the space around us. I love swimming but slowly adapting to cold water is a pretty big mental deterrent for me. * Take the lavender infused towels with you as you enjoy the steam room and hot tub
During our trip to Cancun we mainly wanted to just relax at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun, but Chichen Itza was worth it for us to wake up for and leave the resort. Mayans worshiped the rain god Chaac, and the high priest was the medium that translated to the people Chaac’s desires. The Mayans also enjoyed sports, a brutal ball game would be hosted in honor of Chaac when in need of a sacrifice. Once a battle is fought the goal was to capture the best warriors of the enemy in order to help their gods receive energy from their vitality to continue life.
I’m a huge fan of the Hyatt Hotels, in the past I had an amazing time at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. So when my friends want to come and experience the Hyatt Ziva Cancun The best part is that staying in the Turquoise tower gives your access to their amazing spa which I’ve written about in another post because it deserves its own highlight. I loved coming there after a full day of exploring Chichen Itza and just relax in the heated pool while enjoying a wonderful view of the sunset.
