Picnic theme lunch! 🐜🍉 Sooo I joined my kids school PTO (and volunteered our sis @localletterco to be my co-hospitality chair, haha sucker!) and we were a great team with our first official teacher luncheon crossed off! ✔️ This was such a fun and simple lunch (for feeding 100 people!) but I was a little sad my little plastic ants didn’t arrive on time, lol 🐜🐜 Oh well! I can’t even handle the cuteness of these in gold! 🎀✨ It was a crime to paint over them but now they’re shining like they were meant to! (Comment BOW for a bow hardware options we rounded up as I could not find a source for mine -they came with the dresser- but these alternatives are all darling!) 📍SAVE THIS POST if you need to give your own hardware a refresh! Here’s what I did: •Boil 1:1 white vinegar and water* •Added hardware, let simmer for 15 minutes •Remove with tongs, let cool •Use bristle brush to remove old paint, gunk or etc. •Sprinkle Bar Keepers Friend on, give it a good scrub until all debris is gone •Dry completely •Install and enjoy ✨ *Use an old or thrifted pot/not food safe Have you stripped old paint off of hardware before? We would love to hear other tricks! I’ll tell you what didn’t work: paint stripper. Soaked and the paint barely budged. Learn from me, folks!
