Or when your 5 year old loses his bathing suit, or when your 4 year old pukes all over her outfit at a restaurant just before you are to arrive at a big family wedding festivities picnic and you have to go to the nearest store for a new outfit. We had a great stop a little off road, down a very rocky road to see some random monument. We had a great road trip across country. Also, be sure to leave a comment if you have a favorite place you went to with your kids and any more tips you would give someone getting ready to do a big road trip with kids.
I cannot believe it has been almost 9 years of living here in Utah and I barely just visited our state capitol. I had driven Salt Lakes famous Capitol Hill for the amazing views and gorgeous neighborhood. There is a Utah state welcome center just across the street with plenty of parking as well as allowed parking around the perimeter of the capitol unless otherwise stated. You definitly need to plan a time to visit if you you live in Utah or happen to be in Salt Lake City visiting.
A really easy place to view the Salt Flats is stopping at a rest stop when heading west on I-80. See my blog post here if you want to know about Visiting The Salt Flats up at The Spiral Jetty. You may have heard about The Bonneville Salt Flats if you follow world records for land speeds. You can check the website of The Bureau of Land Managment for the conditions and for any closures before you head out to visit or Drive out onto the Salt Flats.
Rue de Rivoli, Place de Vendome, Tuileries, The Louvre, Forum de Halles and Sainte Chapelle. There is however a place here on my list for the next time I go to Paris that looks super cute and a neat little shopping place. You will also find Cité de la Musique, The Paris museum of Music. "The 20th arrondissement is known for the Père Lachaise Cemetery where one can find the tombs of many famous composers (such as Frédéric Chopin and Gioacchino Rossini), writers (including Oscar Wilde and Marcel Proust), painters (Camille Pissarro, Jacques-Louis David, and others), and the rock singer Jim Morrison of The Doors."
